About the SCI Recruitment 2026

The Registry of the Supreme Court of India recruits its own officers and staff under the Supreme Court Officers and Servants (Conditions of Service and Conduct) Rules, 1961. Reservation for SC, ST and OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates follows Rule 4A of these rules. Selected candidates for direct recruitment posts are placed on a panel in order of merit.

The notification clearly states that merely being on the panel does not give a candidate any right to claim appointment. The Registry can also change the number of posts, or modify or cancel the selection process, without prior notice. Candidates should therefore keep checking the official website for updates.

2. What is the last date to apply for Senior Personal Assistant?
Online applications for Senior Personal Assistant open on October 20, 2026, and the last date is November 10, 2026 at 11:55 p.m. Since the form cannot be edited after final submission, it is wise to apply a few days early and avoid last-minute server problems.

3. Can a 10th pass candidate apply for any of these posts?
Yes, for Junior Court Attendant. The minimum qualification is Class X and the maximum is Class XII from a recognized Board. The other posts need a degree, and some also need shorthand skills, typing speed or years of experience, so a 10th pass candidate is eligible only for the attendant post.

4. What is the age limit for Junior Court Attendant?
The age should be at least 18 and not more than 27 years as on October 1, 2026. Usual relaxations apply to SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), Physically Challenged and Ex-servicemen. Widows, divorced and judicially separated women get a higher limit of 35 years, rising to 38 for OBC and 40 for SC/ST candidates.

They must have a degree and the prescribed speeds, and their age should not exceed 56 years on the closing date.

11. Is a No Objection Certificate required?
Yes, for candidates already working in Central or State Government departments, public sector undertakings, statutory bodies or nationalized banks. The NOC from the employer is checked at the time of document verification, so it is sensible to request it from your department in advance.
