Qualification Master’s in Forensic Science (Forensic Physics specialisation) / Physics / Mathematics / Applied Mathematics / Ballistics from a recognised University/Institute
Experience 3 years in Ballistics analysis/research in Govt. / Industry / Educational Institute. Ph.D. (full-time) in relevant discipline = equivalent to max 3 years experience.
Desirable Research/analysis experience in Forensic Science Lab / Research Laboratory / Industry
Qualification Master’s in Forensic Accounting / Finance / Commerce / Accounting / Management (Finance specialisation) / Data Analytics OR Professional CA / ICWA from a recognised University/Institute
Experience 3 years in Auditing / Forensic Accounting in Govt. / Industry / Educational Institute. Ph.D. (full-time) = max 3 years equivalent experience.

8. Laboratory Assistant (24 Posts) Pay Level 5
Qualification Bachelor’s Degree in Forensic Science / Criminology / Physics / Mathematics / Botany / Zoology / Microbiology / Biotechnology / Physical Anthropology / Genetics / Chemistry / Biochemistry / Pharmacology / Pharmacy from a recognised University or Institute
Experience No specific work experience required (fresh graduates eligible)
⚠️ Note on M.Sc. Forensic Science: Candidates with M.Sc. in Forensic Science must have studied a minimum of 4 subjects from the relevant discipline at Master’s level to be considered eligible.
⚠️ Important: The application fee is NON-REFUNDABLE under any circumstances. Candidates applying for multiple posts must pay the fee separately for each post.
* Pay ranges are based on 7th CPC Pay Matrix. In addition to basic pay, candidates receive HRA, DA, TA, and other central government allowances as per NFSU/GoI norms. Probation period is 2 years for all direct recruits.

The selection process differs based on the level of the post applied for:

Every directly recruited permanent employee shall be on probation for 2 years as per NFSU norms. Training and examinations may also be prescribed during this period.
