The Government of Andhra Pradesh, through the Department for Welfare of Differently Abled, TG & Sr. Citizens, has issued Notification No.1/YSR KDP/COMBINED/2026 inviting applications for a Special Recruitment Drive to fill Backlog Vacancies reserved exclusively for Differently Abled Persons in YSR Kadapa District (Erstwhile).

YSR Kadapa Spl Recruitment 2026 Eligibility: Age Limit

As per Rule 12(v) of the A.P. State and Subordinate Service Rules (SSSR), 1996, the following age criteria apply:

YSR Kadapa Spl Recruitment 2026 Disability Eligibility Criteria

Only Persons with Benchmark Disability are eligible to apply. A Person with Benchmark Disability is one who suffers from not less than 40% disability as certified by a recognized medical authority (SADAREM Certificate).

Local Candidate Requirement

Applications are restricted to LOCAL CANDIDATES of YSR Kadapa District (Erstwhile — i.e., prior to district restructuring on 04.02.2022). Non-local candidates are strictly NOT eligible.

Who Qualifies as a Local Candidate?

  1. Candidates who studied in educational institutions in YSR Kadapa District for at least 4 consecutive academic years ending with the qualifying exam year.
  2. If not enrolled in any institution, candidates who resided in YSR Kadapa District for at least 4 years immediately preceding the qualifying exam.
  3. For VH and HH persons who studied in special schools: the native place of their parents determines local area status.
  4. Those with no schooling must submit a Local Status Certificate from the Tahsildar.

Note: Study certificates from Class 1 to Class 10 are required as proof of local status. Failure to produce these will result in the candidate being treated as Non-Local.

For Group IV Posts (Post Codes 001, 002, 003)

As per G.O.Ms.No.74, G.A.(Ser-A) Dept., Dated 14.02.2007, Written Examinations and Oral Interviews are WAIVED for Group IV posts. Selection will be purely based on merit — i.e., marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

For Other Than Group IV Posts (Post Codes 004 to 008)

Tie-Breaking Rules

  1. If scores are equal, the candidate with higher degree of disability is given preference.
  2. If disability percentage is also tied, the older candidate (by age) is preferred.
  3. If age is also tied, the candidate who obtained the educational qualification earlier is selected.
  4. Where technical or preferential additional educational qualification is prescribed, it takes priority over age.
